Polaroid Announced the Launch of its Hi-Print Mobile Printer for September 10

We probably do not make as much photos as we used to, before the corona virus pandemic, but that does not mean that we can not have fun with the old photos, stuck in our phones.

Polaroid has announced the launch of its new Hi-Print mobile printer that could actually turn pictures into stickers. The mobile printer is available on Polaroid’s website for USD 99.99 with a 20-sheet printer cartridge that costs USD 16.99.

Polaroid is releasing its first instant digital product under their rebranded look. Its iconic rainbow design is coming to photo printer called Polaroid Hi-Print. It is pocket-sized and it looks like it is pretty easy to use. Furthermore, you don’t need ink as well, in order to be able to print photos (which are apparently stickers as well).

The printing from the HI-Print should not be hard at all. What needs to be done is that user connects to it via Bluetooh, choose and customize whatever they want to print in an iOS or Android app and – get the sticker printed. The suite of editing tools includes filters, overlays, frames, stickers, text, and other options before wirelessly sending the photo to the Hi-Print.

The printed images are of a wallet sized (2.3 inch by 3.4 inch), they have adhesive back, therefore you can stick them whenever you want. The printing itself should take less than one minute, and the photos are said to be eater resistant. The battery should be enough for 20 prints before it needs to be charged by using micro-USB cable.

The Hi-Print uses 2×3 paper-ink cartridges and the printer does not use separate ink cartridges. It is worth mentioning that the Hi-Print is Polaroid’s first printer, which uses combo ink-paper cartridges instead of specialized paper with heat-activated dye.

The printer uses a white body along with the iconic Polaroid logo and a rainbow-wrapped end. However, the quality from mobile printers tends to vary little between printers, since each one of them uses a similar technology, and the list of features.

The Polaroid Hi-Print will be available at online stores, such as: Amazon, Best Buy, UrbanOutfitters and Target, starting from September 10. The price is $100 and it comes with two cartridges with 20 photo papers each and cartridges can be bought afterwards for $17 each box.
