2018 will witness some new and advanced space missions

The space research organization, NASA and American commercial space agency have been carried out some successful space mission. The last one was carried out by SpaceX and it has launched its Falcon 9 rocket a few days back. Well, like the year 2017, the year 2018 will also witness some more space mission, and it seems that all the mission has been planned.

Talking about the upcoming launches, NASA is planning to launch its Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) in March 2018. It will be a mission to find out previously undiscovered exoplanets staying in low orbit of Earth. After that, in May 2018, NASA will launch the InSight probe. As per the report, it will land on Mars in November. The rocket will carry various upgraded and advanced instrument to the Red planet to examine about the interior in depth. In this probe mission, the instrument will examine the temperature of Mars and will try to find out any activity of seismologic.

In January, there is something more interesting. The American commercial space organization, SpaceX will launch a heavy Falcon 9 rocket. The interesting thing is that the rocket will carry a cherry red Tesla roadster to Mars.

Another space mission will be jointly carried on by the European and Japanese space agencies. The mission name is BepiColombo. The report says, in November a rocket will be launched to Mercury. The rocket will carry the Mercury Planetary Orbiter (MPO) and the Mercury Magnetosphere Orbiter (MMO).

The year 2018 will also witness two asteroid sampling missions. One will be NASA’s OSIRIS-Rex, and another one will be Hayabusa 2 by Japan. Both will reach the target by July and August.

The upcoming year will see the first crewed mission of Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner. It has developed by NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. It will carry seven astronomers, and cargo for missions to low Earth orbit.

After 2014 launch, China will once again attempt to send a rover to the Moon in 2018. The rover named Change 4 will be landed on the far side of the moon, and it will study the geological conditions there.  It happens, then it will be the first mission in which a rover will be landed on the very dark side of the Moon. These are some important launches that will hold in 2018. It will give more knowledge about the outer planets and that scientists will be able to discover more in space.
