We all know that it is not easier for the obese people to lose their weight. But do you know the reason behind it? Well, a recently published study has revealed the reason why overweighed people usually fail to take long work out. The study published in the journal of Cell Metabolism suggested that losing weight is not simple for fat people as they are more prone to physical inactivity. The excess physical inactivity among the overweight people triggers by the distorted dopamine receptors which are the major cause behind the decreased inspiration to move for the people having excess body weight.
The study has revealed a detailed explanation for why obsessed people soon raise their hand from physical exercise or work out. The experiment done in mice has facilitated the researchers with the clues about one of the basic reasons it is impossible for the overweighed people to stick with an exercise program for a longer time. The investigators while experimenting on the obese mice found that, the physical inactivity is being triggered by the altered dopamine receptors rather than the excessive weight of the body.
The report published in Cell Metabolism on 29th December also suggested the long-believed theory that the excess body weight causes the lack of motivation among the overweight people to be wrong; as a Harmon of the body called altered dopamine receptors are the primary reason behind this state.
Commenting on the new report, the senior author of the study, Alexxai V. Kravitz, who is also working as an investigator in the Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Obesity Branch at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, a division of the National Institutes of Health said, “The physical activity and energetic mood is associated with the overall good health. But most people don’t know why obsessed people or animal are less energetic than the sound health people. While the common belief said, carrying extra body weight is the cause of physical idleness; our findings have detected something else.”
Taking the statement further Alexxai added, “Based our entire observation of long 18 weeks, we hypothesized that the basic cause being the inactivity stage of the mice was the dysfunction in their dopamine organism, rather than their overweight”.
