SpaceX, the America-based space agency is gearing up for the launch of its most-awaited Falcon 9 rocket, on Saturday, January 14, 2017. With the aim to recoup its momentum after the disastrous launch pad failure in September 2016, the Elon Musk-owned firm is all set to mark its re-debut in the commercial space industry. The take-off of Flacon 9 previously was scheduled for 8th January, which because of incongruous weather, later pushed to 14th January. Due to the insensitive winds and heavy precipitation at Vandenberg Air Force Base, the launch of the Falcon 9 deferred for a week more.
Back in September 2016, the America-based firm faced the most unfortunate failure of its rocket launch, because of the technical glitch in the launch pad. On September 1, 2016, during a pre-launch trial at Cape Canaveral, Florida, the Falcon 9 blasted off on the launch pad, leaving the $62 million rocket and a nearly $200 million space probe completely destroyed and smashed. Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX called it the most catastrophic breakdown in SpaceX’s history.
However, after following an extensive experiment and diagnosis program, the engineers of SpaceX successfully diagnosed the glitch and re-prepare the rocket for launch. The new and revived SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket all set to take off from the Vandenberg Air Force Base, located close to Lompoc, California. On 14th January 2016, at 9.54 am, the rocket will go off to space, with ten loaded communication satellites, which are meant for deploying in space.
During the take-off, the Falcon 9 will carry 10 satellites for enriching the communication program of the Iridium Communications Inc. The aim behind the launch of 10 super-advanced communication satellites is to set up a throng of satellites for delivering flawless mobile communications services to the airplanes, land, and ships. According to an official of the Hawthorne-based SpaceX, the launch event was initially programmed for November last year, but because of the increased investigation timeline, the program delayed for some more months.
